1st Draft June 13, 2002 created by Brian Snapp For our authors... Please read all of these instructions for creating companion websites. There are two HTML pages provided to you. These templates can be used to build all of the pages on your book's companion website. You will need to use an html editor to read the comments that are embedded in the files. Comments begin with and will usually appear in a different color within an HTML editor such as TextPad (www.textpad.com) or HomeSite or DreamWeaver. The Do's: Read and follow all of the comments inside the HTML. Use proper nesting of html elements. Leave the formatting for the cascading stylesheet (see comment in the head of the html). Feel free to submit your content in a single Word document if you cannot create HTML. The Don'ts: Don't use any font formatting other than bold and italic . All font tags will be lost when the content is converted to comply with the Wiley.com stylesheet. Don't use ASP or PHP extensions. Don't modify the design of the page. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! We're happy to help. Brian Snapp New Media Editor bsnapp@wiley.com 201.748.6706
